Memorial Gifts

When a loved one or friend dies, a memorial gift can be given in memory of the deceased to the Outer Banks Relief Foundation.  The family of the deceased will be written a letter in regard to your gift.  We will in turn write you and thank you for remembering the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, Inc.  Your living memorial will be placed in our foundation’s Book of Remembrance along with your name.

Honorariums

In lieu of giving a loved one a gift on a special occasion such as birthday or Christmas, an honorarium can be given in honor of the person’s special day.  Your honorarium will be acknowledged with a letter to the person being honored.  We will in turn write you and thank you for remembering the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, Inc.   Your honorarium will be placed in our foundation’s Book of Remembrance along with your name.

Fundraising Events/Activities

There are numerous charity fundraising events throughout the year that directly benefit the Outer Banks Relief Foundation. We have popular charity sporting events like our Sandbar 5k Race , and other popular races like the Outer Banks Marathon, Half Marathon, and Triathalon. In additon, we have numerous fun charity social events like our Couture by the Shore spring fashion show, Old Christmas Festival, and the Rednose Wine Festival. On-Going Efforts

McKenna Guest/Volunteer Collaborative Program

An effort currently being undertaking to establish a web-based, user-friendly
clearinghouse/repository of all services offered by charitable, outreach and helping
organizations in Dare County.  Second phase is to develop a Volunteer Action Center
linking volunteers with agencies/organizations needing volunteers.  Surf Club
member Patty McKenna is chairing this initiative with the assistance from Outer Banks Relief Foundation.
